
Salaam: Muslims at Disney Marketing & Communications
I lead the marketing & communications for Salaam: Muslims at Disney, the business employee resource group, focused on empowering Muslim cast members and employees across The Walt Disney Company.
When Salaam: Muslims at Disney first launched, I designed and created the organization’s logo from scratch as well as the entire creative package for the team. I currently assist the team in an enterprise-wide content review process aimed at ensuring authentic representation of Muslims, their narratives, and their experiences. I also spearhead the marketing outreach and communication plans for the 300+ person group where I’m a voice on the Salaam leadership board, I put on Muslim-led employee events, and I review character sketches & scripts, and provide detailed notes on Disney Muslim characters.
